The Turin Gallatin DB is a high-performance, semi-automatic dual boiler espresso machine built for home baristas and serious coffee enthusiasts who demand café-quality results without compromise. At its core, an Italian-made Fluid-O-Tech rotary pump and E61 thermosiphon-heated grouphead work together to deliver consistent pressure and rock-stable brewing temperatures shot after shot. Dual PID control lets you independently fine-tune both brew and steam boiler temperatures, while the manual flow control paddle at the grouphead puts real-time extraction management directly in your hands.
Wrapped in an 8K mirror-polished stainless steel body and finished with rich black walnut accents on the joystick controls, portafilter, and tamper, the Gallatin DB is as striking as it is capable. It draws meaningful comparisons to machines like the Lelit Bianca, ECM Synchronika, Profitec Pro 700, Rocket R58, Quick Mill Vetrano, and Izzo Alex Duetto IV Plus - offering a compelling feature set for the discerning home espresso setup.
The Turin Gallatin DB brings a genuinely professional-grade dual boiler setup into the home at a price point that makes it a serious contender against established European brands. The combination of flow control, dual PID, adjustable preinfusion, and a rotary pump means you have every tool a skilled barista needs to dial in any coffee with confidence. The walnut and mirror-finish stainless construction means it looks as impressive on your counter as it performs in the cup. Economy mode and an easy-to-navigate digital display make day-to-day use practical and efficient, not just impressive on paper. Whether you are pulling straight espresso, texturing milk for intricate latte art, or brewing a quick Americano from the hot water tap, this machine handles it all without switching modes or waiting. Engineered for years of dependable use, the Gallatin DB is built for the enthusiast who refuses to settle.

The Turin Gallatin DB is designed to compete directly with premium European dual boiler machines including the Lelit Bianca, ECM Synchronika, Profitec Pro 700, Rocket R58, Quick Mill Vetrano, and Izzo Alex Duetto IV Plus. It shares core features like an E61 grouphead, rotary pump, dual PID, and flow control - making it a strong value alternative in that category. Reviewing a direct side-by-side comparison is a great way to determine which machine best fits your preferences and budget.
Yes. The machine includes a manual valve that lets you easily switch between the built-in 1.7-liter water tank and a direct plumbed water connection. A fast connector is included in the box for this purpose. If using a direct line, Turin recommends using quality softened water to protect the boilers and internal components.
Flow control is the ability to manually adjust the rate at which water flows through the coffee puck during extraction. On the Gallatin DB, this is done via a paddle directly on the grouphead, with real-time pressure feedback from the brew group gauge. It gives you the ability to slow down or speed up the shot at any point - useful for dialing in tricky roasts or experimenting with pressure profiling. It is an advanced feature, but intuitive enough that even newer enthusiasts can benefit from it.
No - this is one of the key advantages of a dual boiler machine. The Gallatin DB has separate dedicated boilers for brewing and steaming, so both are ready at the same time. You can steam milk and pull a shot simultaneously, which is a significant workflow improvement over heat exchanger or single boiler machines.
The Gallatin DB is aimed at enthusiasts who want meaningful control over their espresso, so it does have a learning curve - particularly around dialing in grind, dose, and taking advantage of flow control and preinfusion. That said, the digital display makes adjusting boiler temperatures and timers straightforward, and the semi-automatic lever gives you hands-on control without being overwhelming. Beginners who are passionate about espresso and willing to learn will find it very rewarding.
The Gallatin DB comes with a double spouted 58mm portafilter, single and double baskets, a walnut wood-handle tamper, a fast connector for direct plumbing, a cleaning disc, and additional accessories. It is ready to use right out of the box.
